Cateodata ne este imposibil sa trecem peste niste probleme (fie ele matematice). Un anume impuls animalic ne convinge sa mergem pana in panzele albe pentru a afla raspunsul corect. Sau orice fel de raspuns. Ca exemplu vin cu o poza din Constanta, unde marea atrage se pare nu numai pirati, ci si animale cu sange rece (it figures!). Anyhow, ideea ca Davy Jones si Frank the blue iguana fac o pereche de minune, chiar daca (vorba propietarului): "arata ca Godzilla pe statuia libertatii". E clar: vara vine!

Dark Knight The Joker 1/6 Scale Collector Figure (limited edition) a ridicat standardele DC Direct si (cu putin noroc) speram sa nu dea inapoi. Figurina lansata in vara lui 2008 are peste in jur de 20 de articulatii si vine cu o adevarata garderoba (camasa, cravata, vesta, sacou, pardesiu, pantaloni si pantofi), arsenal (3 cutite, pistol, incarcator, masca si ceva carti de joc), 3 perechi de maini, stand si o cutie din 4 pereti (unul transparent) plus inca unul exterior. Per total se ridica cu succes la nivelul Hot toys desi mai e de lucru in privinta articulatiilor si a materialelor textile. Pana vine "The Spirit" edtia Deluxe de la DC Direct, cred ca Joker-ul Heath este o companie numai buna. Ma rog... nebuna.

Comic book artist John Hicklenton, 42, from Brighton, who has ended his life at the Swiss clinic Dignitas Photo: PA

John Hicklenton, who lived in Brighton, East Sussex, died at the assisted suicide clinic on March 19 aged 42 following a 10-year battle with the disease. The illness took an increasingly tight hold on him, affecting his mobility and he decided to end his life before he became permanently disabled. He was renowned for his characteristically-grotesque figures in the cult British comic 2000 AD, including interpretations of famous characters Judge Dredd and Nemesis The Warlock.

Astroboy oh boy!

Recunosc... am lucrat pe ascuns si n-am suflat nicio vorba despre proiectul Astroboy. Ceea ce a inceput cu planul unui headsculpt a devenit (spre mai bine) o masca (basorelief) de 40-45 cm diametru ce lasa o impresie (vizuala, biensur) ceva mai puternica. Mult mai. In cateva zile voi putea trece la finisare si culoare...so keep close and enjoy (for now) my corel(14) version of Astro-B. Ta-ta!

Dupa multe aventuri postale am reusit sa intru in posesia ei, asa ca pot vorbi in cunostina de cauza si nu doar din google images sau wishful thinking. Ceea ce ii lipseste acum este un soclu pe masura si niscaiva spot lights care sa intregeasca atmosfera Hamlet-iana. Inca odata imi scot basca in fata minunatiilor Mcfarlane, the godfather of cool toys... eh, enjoy!

Desi lipsesc grifoni sau lebede din cadru (my bad!) s-a compensensat cu aparitia faimosului Liliput Robot (vezi in partea de jos a cartii). So...
